At the tail-end of our trip through Tennessee and Georgia I had the opportunity to run through a mini workshop/case study on posing with my good friend Levi, who happens to be one of the best in the business when it comes to honest and emotional portraiture. Halie and Alec—a killer photography duo themselves—met us in Tallulah Gorge State Park, and I was immediately struck by their kind hearts and vulnerability*, which, I think you will agree, shines through their portraits. By the time the last of the light had left the southern sky our shoes were all soaked (you'll see why), we collaborated on some of my favorite frames, and, most significantly, new friendships were forged.
*Halie recently shared this powerful personal post over on her blog about image and self-acceptance. Thankful to have met these kind and authentic souls.
